Women Power the Vote Day of Action

LWVUS, in recognizing we were born from the suffrage movement, has declared the theme for our 100th Anniversary to be Women Power the Vote. We kick off the year with a Day of Action on February 14, our 100th birthday. The Day of Action provides a framework to capture the events happening across the country to tell a single story of the League's impact. More TBA.

Voter Girl Workshop for Girl Scouts in NJ

9:30 - 12:30. Check in at 8:45am. A statewide event located in three regions. Northern NJ site is Berkeley College, 44 Rifle Camp Rd, Woodland Park, NJ. Co-sponsored by LWVNJ and the Girl Scouts. Learn about the 100th Anniversary Women's Vote, earn a Civics Badge, have a real voting experience, hear from women elected officials. $15 per girl. Registration opens Jan 21, 2020 on the Girl Scouts of Northern NJ website.

Trip to Alice Paul Institute - Women's Suffrage

Time TBA. 128 Hooten Rd, Mount Laurel, NJ. The Alice Paul Institute is a National Historic Landmark located at the home of Alice Paul, who led the final fight to get women the vote and wrote the Equal Rights Amendment. This activity is part of the League's celebration of 100 years of the Women's Vote. RSVP.
