Energizing Young Voters Training

Collaborate with Drew University students on teaching the League's Energizing Young Voters civics education module, “The Truth About Voter Turnout.” Educators and those with teaching experience are encouraged to attend. Every year, in preparation for the League of Women Voters Biennial Conventions (US even years, NJ odd years), local Leagues review current League positions and recommend updates, additions or deletions to help set the priorities and direction of the League for the next two years. Voter Girl

Passaic County College, 1 College Blvd, Paterson, NJ. Voter Girl is a collaboration between the Girl Scouts and the League of Women Voters. Girl Scouts of all levels participate in a workshop focusing on civic engagement, advocacy, the voting process and becoming leaders. Our League and the Paterson League are partnering with the Girl Scouts of Northern NJ. 30-40 League volunteers help run a mock election and teach democracy badge workshops. Volunteer here.
