A New Jersey's 11th congressional district special election will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, to fill the vacant seat held by Mikie Sherrill. The Primary for this Special Election will take place on Thursday, February 5. Note: Both elections are on a Thursday! Approximately a dozen candidates have filed to fill this seat.


CD11 encompasses most of Morris County and parts of Essex and Passaic counties. 

LWV Morris Area, LWV Livingston, LWV Montclair, LWV Mountain Lakes and our partners are hosting a Meet & Greet for the candidates running in the Primary on Thursday, January 15 at 7pm at Caldwell University. All declared candidates are invited.
